Mid-Valley Community Police Council
President’s Message

It is my honor to serve as President for the Mid-Valley Community Police Council.  I look forward to working with the many talented, committed individuals who join me in great support and appreciation of our LAPD’s Van Nuys Area Station.

As you get to know the MVCPC, you too will learn more about the hard working men and women who “Protect and Serve” us every day.  The Officers and Command Staff at our Station take their responsibilities very seriously.  By getting involved with MVCPC, you will learn to appreciate these individuals not just as our “protectors,” but as individuals-- ordinary people just like you and me.

These officers need our support.  Not unlike other organizations, needs frequently exceed budgets, and helping meet the needs of our Van Nuys Station is one of MVCPC’s primary objectives.  Some of the things MVCPC has been able to provide in recent years include enhanced Officer Safety Equipment, Technology Improvements, funding for Specialized Training Classes, Uniforms for Youth Programs Officers, and a substantial overhaul to the Officers’ gym. These are all things that help enhance our Officers’ abilities to serve our community, its many businesses and families.  MVCPC has helped make improvements to the Station itself, and has also been a key supporter of LAPD’s Youth Programs, which continue to be a challenge in all communities.  The extraordinary programs led by the LAPD are critically important and as a community, we need to come together in support of our Station and its Officers.
MVCPC members include local professionals and corporate sponsors as well as a large contingent of business and home owners served by the Station. Please consider joining us in supporting our Van Nuys station and the people who protect us -- your membership can make a significant difference in our Community.

I invite you to visit our website at  www.midvalleypolicecouncil.org and sign up for our Member Alerts for meeting notices and other pertinent information. Review our list of accomplishments for 2011, view photographs from past events, see Officer Recognition presentations, and read monthly newsletters written by our Captain.  You’ll enjoy getting to know us and learning more about the many great things MVCPC dedicates its time and resources to in our community.

Join us at our next meeting or click HERE to find out more about becoming a member in 2012.  We need your support -- and you’ll be surprised at the difference you can make in your community.
